The Friends of the JP Branch are a group of people who love libraries and all the enrichment they bring to our community. We especially love the Jamaica Plain Branch Library.

The Friends of the Jamaica Plain Branch Library, organized in 1952, is the oldest Friends group in the Boston Public Library system. We plan and sponsor free educational and cultural programs for the JP community. We raise funds to purchase the free museum passes that can be used by library patrons. We raise funds to purchase library materials and supplies.
The Friends support regular programming at the Branch:  Check www.bpl.org for details on daily happenings at the library. The Friends also support the new public art exhibit space in the lower level of the JP Branch Library. Information on the current exhibition schedule is available at www.friendsjplibrary.org/gallery/    We welcome all new members who value the benefits that the JP Branch Library brings to our community.
